An introduction: 

Joy V. Smith has been writing stories since she was a kid. Now she writes fiction and non-fiction, including articles and interviews. Her fiction includes short stories and novels. Her stories have been published in magazines, ezines, and anthologies;some of her short stories (reprints) are collected in The Doorway and Other Stories. Her novels include Taboo Tech, Strike Three, Sugar Time, Cold New Planet, Pretty Pink Planet, Hot Yellow Planet (the sequel), and Detour Trial (a western). 

She lives in Florida (not retired) in a remodeled house (she's been practicing building and remodeling) with Blizzard the Snow Princess; Samwise Gamgee, a Chihuahua cross; and Pemberley, a Tortie.
